Root Canal Treatment

A tooth in pain may mean that your nerve in the tooth is dying off or has died off previously. In this situation, as long as there is enough tooth left, a root canal treatment can be performed to keep your tooth and remove any abscess. Root canal treatment may be a cheaper or a more desirable option to having a tooth removed, Dental Implants, Dentures or a Bridge.

A root canal is a procedure where the tooth nerve is removed, the roots cleaned of any bacteria and then a filling placed to seal the roots up. Finally, a quality dental filling is placed until all healing is complete. Usually following root canal, a crown is recommended as it will make the tooth last much longer by making the tooth a lot stronger.
